Building New Clubs:
Community clubs serve the growing needs of local neighborhoods, suburbs and cities to improve their communication skills and enhance their leadership skills. They meet on a regular basis and enable members to develop their presentation skills, improve their ability to speak extemporaneously and give/ receive feedback in a supportive and positive manner. Community clubs meet weekly or bi-weekly at learning institutions, religious centers, park districts and libraries.
Guests are always welcome to visit a community club to observe, ask questions and even participate in select parts of the meeting. Individuals 18 and older are welcome to join and are typically assigned a mentor on Day 1 to help them succeed early on. While the majority of our clubs serve all members, there are select clubs that are considered “specialty” clubs which cater primarily to a select clientele (e.g. professional speakers, diverse-populations, etc.). Advanced clubs provide stronger and more focused evaluations to members who have previously earned the Competent Communicator award.
